  • Although it didn’t top USA Network’s “WWE RAW” (with infamous guest star LaVar Ball) on the night of June 26, the inaugural edition of the NBA Awards ceremony on TNT — hosted by Drake — did decently, ranking sixth among prime time cable entries that night among adults 18-49 (976,000 viewers in the demo) and 11th in total viewers (1.786 million).

  • MLB Network’s live baseball game action (not counting look-in coverage during “MLB Tonight”) for June 26-July 2 averaged 258,000 viewers and 67,000 adults 18-49 from the 10 game showcase telecasts, down 4 percent (in viewers) and down 3 percent (in adults 18-49) from the year-ago week (June 27-July 3, 2016: average of 268,000 viewers/69,000 adults 18-49 from 11 telecasts): also, up 5 percent (in viewers) from two years ago (June 30-July 5, 2015: average of 247,000 viewers from 10 telecasts).

  • Golf Channel’s tournaments coverage from June 29-July 2:

    • PGA Tour: Quicken Loans National (June 29-July 2; Golf Channel only): 394,000 viewers (-12 percent from June 23-26, 2016: 445,000 viewers)
    • LPGA Tour: KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (June 29-30; first two rounds): 200,000 viewers (-6 percent from June 9-10, 2016: 213,000 viewers)
    • European Tour: Open de France (June 29-July 2 mornings): 65,000 viewers (-45 percent from June 30-July 3, 2016: 120,000 viewers)
