  • Two fighters on the July 15 edition of HBO’s Boxing After Dark had a significant increase in viewership from their respective most-recent bouts. The 12-round, 130-pound title fight of Miguel Berchelt versus Takashi Miura averaged 683,000 viewers. This represented an increase of 37 percent from Berchelt’s HBO debut on Jan. 28 when he faced Francisco Vargas (497,000 viewers). It also was up 39 percent from Miura’s prior bout versus Mickey Roman, also from Jan. 28 (491,000 viewers). Those HBO fights from Jan. 28 had aired directly opposite the Santa Cruz-Frampton featherweight championship on Showtime.

  • (92,000 viewers), down 14 percent (July 12, 2016: 107,000 viewers); its repeat telecast at 7:30 p.m. (153,000 viewers) was down 6 percent. The AAA All-Star Game on July 12 (125,000 viewers) was also down 6 percent (July 13, 2016: 133,000 viewers).

  • Non-exclusive Sunday afternoon “Major League Baseball” on TBS rose for the second consecutive werk. The third game of the N.Y. Yankees-Boston series, blacked out in New York and Boston, drew 504,000 viewers, up 14 percent from last year’s comparable Sunday game, Texas-Chicago Cubs (439,000 viewers).

  • MLB Network’s live baseball game action (not counting look-in coverage during “MLB Tonight”) for July 14-15 averaged 333,000 viewers and 85,000 adults 18-49 from the two game showcase telecasts, down 3 percent (in viewers) and down 5 percent (in adults 18-49) from the year-ago week (July 15-16, 2016: average of 343,000 viewers/89,000 adults 18-49 from 4 telecasts): also, up 29 percent (in viewers) from two years ago (July 17-18, 2015: average of 257,000 viewers from 4 telecasts).

  • Two of MLB Network’s annual events during All-Star week experienced slight declines from last year. On July 11, the live afternoon telecast of the MLB All-Star Red Carpet (92,000 viewers), down 14 percent (July 12, 2016: 107,000 viewers); its repeat telecast at 7:30 p.m. (153,000 viewers) was down 6 percent. The AAA All-Star Game on July 12 (125,000 viewers) was also down 6 percent (July 13, 2016: 133,000 viewers).

  • Golf Channel’s tournaments coverage from July 10-12 and 14-16:

    • PGA Tour: John Deere Classic (July 14-16; Golf Channel only): 393,000 viewers (-8 percent from July 9-12, 2015: 425,000 viewers)
    • Champions Tour: Constellation Senior Players Championship (July 14-16 afternoons): 165,000 viewers (-22 percent from June 9-12, 2016: 209,000 viewers)
    • European Tour: Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open (July 14-16 mornings): 159,000 viewers (+24 percent from July 7-10, 2016: 128,000 viewers)
    • Web.com Tour: Utah Championship (July 14-16 evenings): 116,000 viewers (-13 percent from July 21-24, 2016: 134,000 viewers)
    • Senior LPGA Championship (July 10-12 afternoons): 98,000 viewers
