DirecTV Now

Just in time for the 2018 NFL season, DirecTV Now has announced that the NFL Network has been added to its offerings.

All subscribers who have the “Just Right” and above packages will now get NFL Network at no additional cost. Those who subscribe to the $40/month entry-level package will not get access to the channel.

The announcement also noted that DirecTV Now customers will also soon have access to stream the NFL Network through Watch NFL Network, available on NFL.com and the NFL app across connected TV and mobile devices.

One thing to note is that the addition of NFL Network as an add-on to the “Just Right” bundle does not include the RedZone channel.

DirecTV Now is the fourth live streaming services that will include the NFL’s network. PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and Fubo TV all include it, though all three include NFL RedZone as well.

The timing couldn’t be better for subscribers as the channel plans to air 64 preseason games this month. It will also broadcast 13 Thursday night regular season games, though those are subject to blackout. The network also gets to show a Week 8 International Series matchup from London (Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars), a Week 15 Saturday doubleheader (Houston Texans vs. New York Jets and Cleveland Browns vs. Denver Broncos), and a Week 16 Saturday doubleheader with matchups to be determined.

According to AT&T, the parent company of DirecTV Now, customers will also soon have access to stream NFL Network through Watch NFL Network, available on NFL.com and the NFL app on mobile devices and Apple TV.
