We’re not here to talk about all of Clay Travis’s recent headline-making moments. They obviously speak for themselves. Instead, we’re here to talk about Clay Travis getting dunked on by the FOX college football halftime crew, who were incredulous that anyone could have taken Vanderbilt over Alabama.
Perhaps the most visible face on Team Upset Watch? Mr. Travis himself, Vanderbilt Law, Class of 2004. He picked them (with the points), and things…did not go well.
Let’s pause to note this burn: “Alabama and the First Amendment, up 45-0.”
So good!
Alabama went on to win 59-0, a thorough stomping that most should have seen coming because, again, it’s Alabama playing Vanderbilt.
Clay himself (perhaps surprisingly, if you’ve followed his recent exploits) seemed to feel a sense of shame:
I apologize for my Vandy +19 pick. I am an idiot. Also, this kind of beating should keep Vandy from being CBS SEC game for next five years.
