Men In Blazers technical difficulties

Broadcast technical difficulties happen, even during events as prominent as the World Series, but it’s more unusual to see them on a studio show. That’s exactly what happened on NBCSN’s Men In Blazers: Live Edition Monday afternoon, though. NBCSN host Liam McHugh threw to Men In Blazers, but then only a black screen came up:

NBCSN then went to commercial, and then went to an old episode of Premier League Download (which, interestingly enough, is also hosted by MIB’s Roger Bennett) about Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola:

After several minutes of that and a commercial break, they were finally able to get the Men In Blazers live show going:

The Men In Blazers’ Twitter followers were in fine form about this, though:

There were even plenty of Oscars jokes:

And their own Twitter account had fun with it, too:

No word on what caused the technical difficulties; perhaps the ravens carrying the signal were shot down between their New York studio and NBCSN’s Connecticut headquarters? In any case, tune in at 11:30 p.m. Eastern if you want to see the whole (now non-live) show. The original live show is no more; it’s ceased to be, expired and gone to meet its maker, and has shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible. But at least it gave us some good Twitter jokes.
