Kyrie Irving’s reported demand for a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers isn’t sitting well with the team’s fans and now with one of the city’s TV stations. Fox 8 (WJW) has made a new promo letting Irving know where it stands in all this drama. Showing the Cavs’ title celebration from last year, WJW with a rather dramatic voiceover said it stands with LeBron James and Cleveland is his city:

“You’re either with us or against us. You have to be tough to thrive here. And if you don’t want to be part of our story, that’s fine. This city belongs to The King. Cleveland’s own Fox 8 News. Oh yeah, enjoy the ring.”

Well, that’s harsh, but Cleveland is a sports town that has seen more downs than ups and this promo is in line with its hardened attitude (remember when Cavs fans burned LeBron’s jersey after The Decision). It’s not every day you see a news station taking a stand like this.
