Now that Barcelona fans have their man in Philippe Coutinho, everyone in Catalonia is itching to see their $200 million man in their traditional colors. Coutinho isn’t ready to feature for Barca yet but everyone is looking forward to it, including the broadcasters.

Ray Hudson, main color commentator for beIN Sports’ La Liga coverage welcomed Coutinho who had been playing for Premier League side Liverpool. Hudson even came up his own lyrics set to Barcelona’s anthem Cant del Barça to welcome the Brazilian. It is brilliant.

Coutinho
Coutinho
You cost an awful lot of money
But Barca believe in you
Just be better than Gomes
Or they’ll send you home (they’ll send you home)
Back to a cold, wet night in Stoke
Now you’re in Spain
Sunny, sunny Spain
Now go and earn that big, fat paycheck
For Barca, Barca, Barca

I can’t blame Hudson’s broadcast partner Phil Schoen laughing during that because it was hilarious. Bravo, Ray for that magisterial rendition of Cant del Barça.
