We’ve been hearing about the Bill Simmons-produced Andre The Giant for a very long time. News first surfaced back in fall of 2015 that it would be Simmons’ first film project with new partner HBO.
Since then, the project has moved through production in fits and starts, but we got our first look at a teaser for the finished project last month, and now we have the full trailer and release date for the film.
From the looks of the trailer, it’s going to be appointment viewing for anyone with even a passing interest in wrestling history. In fact, given Andre’s cultural transcendence, there’s probably an even wider built-in audience.
Andre The Giant will premiere on HBO on April 10.
