It’s been another busy week in sports media. We’re here to recap the biggest news and events that took place and share some of our best work from the week that was. Without further adieu:
Fox Sports has laid off around 20 writers, shifting focus from writing to videos. Jamie Horowitz is banking on the audience wanting more of personalities like Skip Bayless and Chris Broussard.
Here’s a Woj Bomb: Adrian Wojnarowski officially joined ESPN on July 1. It’s unclear which Vertical staff members will be joining him.
NBC is eliminated Extra Time streaming in favor of a new Premier League Pass. The new service will cost $49.99 and allow fans to watch 130 live Premier League matches/
Expect to see more of Woj on camera at ESPN. He’ll be highly visible on both ESPN.com and television. However, don’t expect Woj bombs to disappear.
