It’s been another busy week in sports media. We’re here to recap the biggest news and events that took place and share some of our best work from the week that was. Without further adieu:
Trenni Kusnierek didn’t mince words regarding Colin Cowherd’s behavior after LaVar Ball made sexist comments towards Kristine Leahy. The CSNNE reporter called Cowherd a martyr and a blowhard on-air before a Boston Celtics broadcast.
Tensions are reportedly high on the Mike and Mike set, as Sports Illustrated reports Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg “virtually ignore each other off air,” and “barely make eye contact” with one another. Will they make it their reported December end date? It’s hard to say.
In a continually failed quest to remain relevant, Jay Mariotti picked a Twitter fight with ESPN anchor Scott Van Pelt. Mariotti would go on to threaten Van Pelt with a lawsuit and claimed he could own the network if he won… right.
The headline really tells it all.
Fox’s Big 3 unveiled its broadcast team, as Gus Johnson, Jim Jackson and outspoken actor Michael Rapaport will call games.
