  • NBA-TV’s live post-game coverage after the deciding Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals on June 13 drew 334,000 viewers and 158,000 adults 18-49, up 249 percent (in viewers, from 134,000) and up 336 percent (in adults 18-49, from 47,000) versus 2016 NBA Finals non-deciding Game 5’s post game on June 13, 2016.

    Turner Sports reported NBA TV averaged 270,000 viewers for its postgame coverage of this year’s NBA Finals — an all-time high for the network. It was up 5 percent compared to last year’s postgame coverage

    73,000 viewers watched the NBC Sports Bay Area simulcast of the Golden State Warriors’ championship victory parade in Oakland, Calif. on NBA TV on June 15. This was down 47 percent from lsst year’s Cavaliers’ parade in Cleveland, Ohio (139,000 viewers on June 22, 2016), which was that city’s first professional sports championship since 1964. On the positive side, compared to the Warriors’ previous parade on June 19, 2015, it was up 11 percent (73,000 viewers vs. 66,000 viewers).

  • While an average of nearly 24.5 million tuned in to NBA Finals Game 5, the June 12 edition of USA’s WWE RAW averaged 2.533 million viewers from 8-11:12 p.m. — the least-watched RAW since Sep. 26, 2016 (2.464 million), the night of the first U.S. presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

  • The 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft on MLB Network on June 12 registered 265,000 viewers, down 5 percent from the year-ago draft (279,000 viewers on June 9, 2016). Most of the 2016 draft took place opposite NHL Stanley Cup Final Game 5; most of 2017’s, opposite NBA Finals Game 5.

  • MLB Network’s live baseball game action (not counting look-in coverage during “MLB Tonight”) for June 13-18 averaged 224,000 viewers and 63,000 adults 18-49 from the 8 game showcase telecasts, down 9 percent (in viewers) and up 5 percent (in adults 18-49) from the year-ago week (June 14-19, 2016: average of 245,000 viewers/60,000 adults 18-49 from 11 telecasts): also, down 11 percent (in viewers) from two years ago (June 16-21, 2015: average of 252,000 viewers).

  • Golf Channel’s tournaments coverage from June 15-18:

    • LPGA Tour: Meijer LPGA Classic (June 15-18 afternoons): 130,000 viewers (+9 percent from June 16-19, 2016: 119,000 viewers)
    • PGA Professional Championship (June 18): 33,000 viewers
