  • Week 35-36 English Premier League soccer matches on NBCSN from May 1 and 5-7:

    • Liverpool-Watford (NBCSN May 1 afternoon): 197,000 viewers (-34 percent from 298,000 of West Brom-Tottenham Apr. 25, 2016)
    • Tottenham-West Ham (NBCSN May 5 afternoon): 201,000 viewers
    • Crystal Palace-Manchester City (NBCSN May 6 early morning): 302,000 viewers
    • Sunderland-Hull City (NBCSN May 6 late morning): 310,000 viewers (-6 percent from 329,000 of Bournemouth-Everton Apr. 30, 2016)
    • Southampton-Liverpool (NBCSN May 7 early morning): 358,000 viewers (-61 percent from 908,000 of Leicester-Manchester United May 1, 2016)
    • Manchester United-Arsenal (NBCSN May 7 late morning): 767,000 viewers (+41 percent from 543,000 of Manchester City-Southampton May 1, 2016)
  • Kentucky Derby Prep on NBCSN May 6 drew 456,000 viewers, just 6 percent below the first 150 minutes of the year-ago prep (May 8, 2016 noon-2:30 p.m.: 487,000 viewers). Corrected from previous version that had compared the entire 2016 NBCSN telecast that had aired from noon-3:55 p.m.

  • Germany’s 2-1 upset win over the Unitted States in the opening game of the 2017 IIHF World Championship on NBCSN late night of May 5 (130,000 viewers) was off by 8 percent from the year-ago evening telecast of USA-Canada (May 6, 2016: 141,000 viewers).

  • FS1’s Cleveland Indians-Kansas City Royals MLB Baseball game on Sat. May 6 (370,000 viewers) was 44 percent down from the year-ago late Saturday afternoon FS1 game of Nationals-Cubs (May 7, 2016: 663,000 viewers).

  • The May 2 Premier Boxing Champions event on FS1 featuring Ivan Redkach-Argenis Mendez (119,000 viewers) was about even from the year-ago PBC on FS1 (Victor Ortiz-Andre Berto May 3, 2016: 120,000 viewers).

  • First legs of the Semifinal rounds in the UEFA Champions and Europa Leagues on FS1 from May 2-4:

    • Champions League: Real Madrid-Club Atletico de Madrid (FS1 May 2 afternoon): 383,000 viewers (-6 percent from 409,000 of Man City-Real Madrid Apr. 26, 2016)
    • Champions League: Monaco-Juventus Football Club (FS1 May 3 afternoon): 316,000 viewers (-11 percent from 357,000 of Club Atletico de Madrid-Bayern Munchen Apr. 27, 2016)
    • Europa League: Celta de Vigo-Manchester United (FS1 May 4 afternoon): 178,000 viewers (-30 percent from 255,000 of Villareal-Liverpool Apr. 28, 2016)
  • The 2017 NHRA Southern Nationals from Atlanta, Ga. on FS1 from May 7 (378,000 viewers) fell a steep 72 percent from last year’s Southern Nationals (May 15, 2016: 1,367,000 viewers). That 2016 telecast immediately followed a NASCAR Sprint Cup race in Dover.
