Mixing up what school a player went to occasionally happens, but saying that a prominent former college player went to one of his school’s biggest rivals? That’s a little more rare, but that’s what Kevin Harlan did on the TNT broadcast of Wizards-Knicks Thursday. Harlan said Washington guard Trey Burke, who shone at Michigan, was “the former Big Ten player of the year at Ohio State”:
Unsurprisingly, misassigning Burke’s school that way got some backlash.
