This is our weekly look at the most popular — or in some cases our personal favorite — videos on Clippit over the past week. Clippit is an awesome app that allows us to quickly grab 30-second clips from several live TV broadcasts and share them on social media.
Calls of Clemson’s title-winning TD across the ESPN Megacast
The ESPN Megacast was very entertaining, with several channels offering different viewing experiences for the College Football Playoff National Championship.
ESPN brought us the main broadcast, ESPN 2 had the “homer” calls, ESPNEWS had the excellent coaches film room coverage, SEC Network had Paul Finebaum callers given Alabama was in the game, and ESPN U — where I spent much of my viewing time — had notable personalities hanging out in #TheCoolRoom like a Super Bowl party. Bill Walton — dressed as Uncle Sam — was even on the ESPN U broadcast talking weed, beer, mimosas, etc. That was amazing.
But the main focus for this post is how the final Clemson touchdown was called on some of the broadcasts.
Here was Chris Fowler’s call of the touchdown on ESPN:
