Over the past several years, Sunday Night Football has not only become the premier sports package in all of television, it’s become the top rated primetime series in America.  As the schedule is released in April though, it’s always a bit of a guessing game beyond the first few weeks.  To ensure the best matchups even earlier in the season, the NFL mandated flexing can begin as early as Week 5, which is good news for fans and for NBC.  It also will flex the best Week 17 game after the Week 16 games have been completed.

The SNF package does contain two Thursday Night games as well – the season opener and a Thanksgiving night game.  This year those contests are a Super Bowl rematch with Panthers-Broncos to kick things off and Steelers-Colts on Thanksgiving night.  Here’s the full schedule…
