Michael Phelps returned home stateside after another successful Olympics in Rio saw him bring his tally to an incomprehensible 23 gold medals. It was a triumphant and historic Olympics from Phelps as he cemented his place among the all-time great athletes in American history, and maybe even in the history of the world, as he toppled at least one record that was over 1,000 years old.
After being away for another Olympics, and this time with a young family, Phelps was probably glad to be home. He was certainly not glad to see Marc Liverman of 3TV in Phoenix, Arizona at the local airport.
Watch as Liverman does his best TMZ impersonation in trying to “interview” Phelps at the airport – a.k.a. trying to stalk him down while he’s walking through the terminal with his family. Phelps then channels his inner Dikembe Mutombo and swats him away.

I know declining interviews isn’t exactly an Olympic sport, but Phelps deserves a 24th gold medal for that one.
