NBC is notoriously stingy when it comes to allowing other outlets to use any sort of video highlights from the Olympics.  Seeing other networks try to report on the Olympics harkens back to something resembling the dark ages of sports broadcasting when still photos dominated the airwaves.

Well, at least one non-NBC station has finally had enough.

Pat Tomasulo of WGN in Chicago has had it up to *here* with only being able to show a whole two minutes, 120 seconds, within six hours of a newscast.

So Tomasulo revolted by ripping the IOC as corrupt, playing R. Kelly instead of the Olympic theme, and showing his own high school wrestling highlights.

Local newscasters ranting at NBC for a lack of Olympic highlights is truly a tradition unlike any other.  This year, it’s going to take a major effort to knock Tomasulo off the top of the podium.
