There’s a moral dilemma that I have when it comes to man-on-the-street type videos.

On the one hand, they specifically target unsuspecting civilians to make them look like idiots regarding some topic or person they probably have no idea about.

On the other hand, they are often hysterical.

This video presents that dilemma perfectly, with ESPN correspondent Reese Waters fooling fans into thinking he won the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos.  How?  BY WEARING A HAT.

Next time, ESPN should really test the awareness of the general public by sending Chris Berman out to see if he can fool fans.

BERMAN: Heh… heh… uuuhhhh… I just won the Super Bowl.

IDIOT FAN: No you didn’t, your Chris Berman.

BERMAN: [grumbles incoherently]… Whhhaaaaaaa… I’m wearing this hat that says I did. [more incoherent grumbling]

IDIOT FAN: WOW!!!!  YOU DID WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Scene.
