tabloids

Ever come up with a great joke, get ready to share it and then realize 100 people have already made it? That’s probably how headline writers from the New York Daily News, New York Post and Newsday felt Thursday morning.

Derrick Rose was traded to the Knicks on Wednesday, and one pun sprung to mind for headline writers at all three tabloids.

They say great minds think alike, right?

In fairness, that’s a solid pun, and nothing else springs to mind immediately. Plus, the tabloids need to save some headlines for Rose’s introductory press conference, his first game at the Garden, his first big shot with the Knicks and his first season-ending injury.
