Game 7 Via Dallas Morning News on Twitter

University of Texas sophomore Micah Poag did not have tickets to Game 7 of the NBA Finals, but that didn’t stop him from flying 1,750 miles to Oakland and finagling his way into Oracle Arena.

Poag’s secret weapon was a fake press pass he had created on Photoshop the morning of his flight, based not on a specific Finals pass but on a generic model he’d found on Google Images.

Via Vocativ, who first noticed Poag’s stunt, here’s how the pretend reporter got into the arena:

On his second pass around the stadium, he found an open door where a window washer had stepped out of the stadium. He walked up and started talking to the guy, when a security guard walked over. “I kind of stepped up and showed the guard my press pass real quick and she didn’t really say anything and sort of gave me a nod in, and I proceeded to walk past her. When I was about 15 yards past, I heard her say ‘Hey,’ but then I didn’t look back.”
