Two years ago in Sochi, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski became America’s sweethearts after their wonderful figure skating commentary at the Winter Olympics. The pair breathed new life into NBC’s live coverage and became such a hit that they were able to go beyond figure skating and now appear as personalities on a number of NBC’s events.
Of course, Johnny and Tara are in Rio for this year’s Summer Olympics. And judging by their Instagram page they’ve been making the most of it.
Here’s Johnny and Tara holding their own mock swimming competition in their hotel bathtub.
My favorite part of that clip is either the dramatic realism or the fact that their wardrobe rack takes up about 1/3 of the entirety of the room. That isn’t the only Instagram comedy video Weir and Lipinski have produced in Rio. There’s also their balance beam competition on their hotel window ledge…
