The selection of photos used for a NFL broadcast can provoke significant comment, as with Fox’s bad photoshops of Sam Bradford’s head onto Teddy Bridgewater’s body and then Bradford’s head onto Matt Cassel’s body. NBC drew some significant commentary of their own for the photos of Tom Brady they utilized during this week’s Patriots-Seahawks Sunday Night Football broadcast yesterday, so much so that Twitter turned it into one of their curated moments. Here are some highlights from that.
Umm… what is going on with Tom Brady in this photo? pic.twitter.com/w7iyFU39VH

why does Tom Brady's SNF picture look like Dexter pic.twitter.com/JQdKnhM0hC

Dexter was a theme, apparently:
Tom Brady looks like a generic dexter who doesn't just kill bad people

Tom Brady has murdered way more defenses than Dexter has people. https://t.co/y9URAW4klE

But there were other takes, too:

The best one may be NFL Network and NBC sideline reporter Alex Flanagan managing to reference the infamous Brady courtroom sketch:
which Tom Brady is creepier? pic.twitter.com/hdT5hW2MW5

Oh, and there are problems with the uniform too, for those who can get past Brady’s expressions:
What’s worse is NBC seems to be using the same photo package from Brady they used in SB XLVI just photoshopped out the patches pic.twitter.com/ULANF6TmP0

Well, at least NBC got people talking about the game. And after a dismal year to date, ratings for Sunday Night Football were way up this week. Maybe that was about the Patriots-Seahawks matchup, a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl. Or maybe it was all about the creepy shots of Tom Brady.
