Let’s face it. Either you like Pierre McGuire or you don’t. There’s no middle ground with Pierre. When he makes a misstep during NHL on NBC/NBCSN games, his detractors snicker while his supporters feel sympathetic. Well, Pierre has some more material for hockey fans to ponder. During Wednesday’s St. Louis-Detroit game, McGuire did his regular in-game interview with the coaches and when it was Detroit’s turn, McGuire was ready to talk to Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill. However, McGuire was standing next to assistant coach Pat Ferschweiler getting ready for the interview who quickly pointed to Blashill.

The look on Ferschweiler’s face was priceless and NHL on NBC studio analyst Mike Milbury took the also-bald McGuire to task for not knowing his fellow follicly-challenged Red Wings coaches.

Oh Pierre.
