Pete Rose and Adrian Gonzalez

Fox MLB analyst Pete Rose has produced plenty of odd moments over the last couple of years, including photobombing C.J. Nitkowski, giggling after Joc Pederson’s interview, and giving Ken Rosenthal job advice, and he came up with another odd one on FS1’s postgame show Sunday night. Following the Dodgers’ 1-0 win over the Cubs in Chicago in Game Two of the NLCS, the FS1 panel took turns interviewing L.A. first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, and Rose asked if he could hitch a ride back to Los Angeles on the Dodgers’ charter, saying that fellow panelist Alex Rodriguez didn’t want to share his jet:

Rose goes “I’ve got to go back to L.A., and Alex won’t let me on his G5. Can you get me on the Dodgers’ charter?” Gonzalez’s response of “Come on, Alex! Seriously, you can just put him in the back” is pretty great, as is the way the whole panel cracks up over this. Having Rose as a MLB analyst has its pluses and minuses, but it’s certainly led to a lot of funny moments the last two postseasons.
