One of the more insufferable writers in America is Mike Lupica. He has an inflated ego and is willing to let you know how good he is in no uncertain terms. Yet, he remains as a featured columnist with the New York Daily News after taking a significant pay cut after the paper’s latest round of layoffs last year. The Sports Reporters panelist and former ESPN Radio New York host seems to keep finding new gigs. Just this week, he wrote his very first column for Sports on Earth, the site which underwent its own set of layoffs two years ago.

As the site trucks along with Will Leitch and others, it announced the addition of Lupica on Monday:

And yes, he’s also joined Twitter as well. To date, the lone tweet in the Lupica account is a link to his SoE column:

Does this mean the account will be a just be a feed of his SoE columns? We don’t know yet, but we await his first hot take tweet which will anger Twitter. Lupica’s account currently has less than 650 followers so we’ll see if it will grow or remain stagnant. No matter, the diminutive Lupica will find ways to anger America somehow whether it’s though his Daily News or new Sports on Earth column.
