It still hasn’t sunk in to many that we won’t be hearing Vin Scully on Dodgers games next season. The true American treasure has provided plenty of joy to fans throughout his 67-year career as Voice of the Dodgers. As Scully turned 88 this week, the Dodgers and MLB Advanced Media produced a video showing the behind the scenes of Vin’s final home broadcast, a dramatic come-from-behind victory that clinched the West Division for the Dodgers.

And as you watch the video, notice Vin talking with his wife, Sandy and then  the contrast between the Dodgers’ locker room celebration to Vin’s celebration with his family in a private box at Dodger Stadium. It’s a very enjoyable watch:

It’s going to be very strange not to see Vin in the booth in 2017. But we do know that he will make at least one appearance at Dodger Stadium as the team will honor him on May 3, 2017 with a ceremony and special giveaway for fans in attendance.
