Anchor scooter crash

Riding an electric scooter on live TV probably isn’t the smartest idea. Lisa Breckenridge of KTTV’s Good Morning LA found out the hard way recently while testing some holiday gifts on the show.

She was testing a motorized scooter on the program’s holiday gift ideas segment… and then this happened:

Closed studio sets, ill-trained show hosts and motorized vehicles all make for a terrible combination, and Breckenridge took the brunt of it. Her injuries were serious enough that she had to be taken to a local hospital, but thankfully she’s expected to make a full recovery, according to this Instagram post:

Thanks for all your concerns a lil mishap on live tv 📺 at the hospital now getting checked out @foxla thanks @firefighter_fitpro

She added this tweet to the mix to say that she’s recovering:

Lesson learned: don’t ride scooters on live television.
