It’s been a few months since we’ve done a podcast. While the AA podcast is in limbo, going forward we’ll be presenting Jim Weber’s new podcast project “James and the Giant QB.” We hope you’ll enjoy listening to Jim and Jared going forward.

Awful Announcing contributor Jim Weber and former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen recently started a college football podcast aptly called, “James and the Giant QB” that will appear each Monday on the site.

In this week’s episode, the two discuss the atrocious clock management and field goal kicking featured in Week 1 of the college football season, Houston’s chances of making the College Football Playoff, Kentucky’s second-half meltdown against Southern Miss and the weekly “Ask Jared” segment of the show.

They are then joined by the SEC Network’s Brent Musburger, who talks about the origin of his trademark “YOU ARE LOOKING LIVE!” as a tip to gamblers, his love for all things Las Vegas, how ESPN pleaded with him not to do the racy Carl’s Jr. ad with Katherine Webb and the one sporting event he’s never called that eats at him.
