On Sunday, Israel Gutierrez and Amin Elhassan were co-hosting their “Izzy & Amin” ESPN Radio show talking about the Super Bowl when they got heated over Peyton Manning (who doesn’t these days). It got to the point where Elhassan decided to walk off the show leaving Gutierrez to fly solo for a short period.

It sounded like Gutierrez was goading him to walk off. Elhassan said, “I don’t know if I’ll be back,” and proceeded to walk out of the studio.

If you didn’t listen to the segment, we have it here for you:

Elhassan later returned to the show and apologized to the listeners. When asked about Elhassan walking off the show, an ESPN spokesman told Awful Announcing that Gutierrez and Elhassan aren’t mad at each other, it was all in good fun and it was a “non-issue.”

So does that mean it was all staged? Does it mean that it was just something to get the attention of sports media sites? Only Gutierrez, Elhassan and their producer fully know the truth.
