In Don Orsillo’s first year with the San Diego Padres, he has formed a very fun team with analyst Mark Grant. The two have had some fun in the booth. One common theme for their time together has been Mark Grant’s pointer. Grant has used the pointer when he and Orsillo donned eye black during one particular late afternoon, but then Grant got a little taste of his own medicine later when Arizona Diamondbacks voice Steve Berthiaume used it on him.

But Orsillo has been waiting to get back at Mudcat and he got his opportunity on Saturday during the game against the San Francisco Giants. As Orsillo, Grant and Mark Sweeney were discussing the military jet flyover at Tuesday’s All-Star Game at Petco Park, Grant mentioned that he was invited to get a ride in one of the jets, but couldn’t. It was there when Donnie-O seized his chance with the pointer.

Well done, Don. Well done.
