In the moments after the Cardinals absolutely bonkers overtime win over the Packers, Larry Fitzgerald took a moment to send this tremendously classy message to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

If you’re unaware, Mortensen was diagnosed with stage IV throat cancer and announced he’ll be stepping away from ESPN. While that’s deflating, it’s refreshing to hear Fitzgerald send along well wishes especially considering it game just moments after his game winning touchdown in what you could argue was the most pivotal game of his NFL career. This easily could have slipped his mind given the magnitude of the game’s crazy ending along with the fact Fitzgerald must have been physically and emotionally drained at that point. None the less, it’s great to see him take a moment to send Mortensen the message who was quick to tweet his appreciation. Hopefully the well wishes from Fitzgerald and others bolster the spirits of Mortensen and his family.
