76ers

This is our weekly look at the most popular — or in some cases our personal favorite — videos on Clippit over the past week. Clippit is an awesome app that allows us to quickly grab 30-second clips from several live TV broadcasts and share them on social media.

76ers fan flips off Russell Westbrook, Jeff Van Gundy says you should be able to go into the stands and “whack” such fans

A 76ers fan gave the double bird to Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook in Philadelphia, and ESPN’s Jeff Van Gundy said how “you should be able to go up into the stands and just whack the guy”. Play-by-play man Mike Breen rejected the idea and said how “that would start a riot”.

Van Gundy: I always like the bravery of fans, when they know they can’t be—like, you should be able to go up into the stands and just whack that guy.
Mike Breen: No, no, no, no, no
Van Gundy: Yes, you should. That guy flips him off like that? He’s all brave.
Breen: Well he should be thrown out.

Maybe a bit aggressive from JVG, but you at least have to appreciate his honesty.

*Pause to talk about basketball*

Van Gundy: I can’t believe you don’t think he deserves to be able to go in there and smack him.
Breen: No, that would start a riot.

I find myself having a hard time disagreeing with either side on that one, and Breen and JVG made for some entertaining commentary as they usually do. If nothing else, you at least have to appreciate JVG’s honesty.

It turns out Randy Moss could’ve been a kicker too

Randy Moss was one of the best wide receivers we’ve ever seen in the NFL, but turns out he’s a good kicker too. Even in dress shoes, and using the straight-on kicking style. He showed off these skills before last week’s Monday Night Football coverage on ESPN.

As for Charles Woodson’s kicking skills? Not quite as impressive.

ESPN audio guy gets “C’mon Man” treatment on MNF

This poor audio guy. Probably the only time he’s actually gotten to be recognized on camera.

BREAKING: Football fields are long

We really appreciate this hard-hitting analysis from ESPN’s Tom Luginbill on the length of the football field during Saturday’s Ohio State-Northwestern game.
