The MLB Postseason has finally arrived, with the first two Wild Card games taking place this week in New York and Pittsburgh. The 2015 Postseason will be airing on five different networks (ESPN, Fox, Fox Sports 1, TBS, MLB Network), and it’s understandable if one could get confused as to where they could legally watch the games online.

Have no fear – that’s where we come in. We’ll try to make it as easy as possible for you.

MLB.tv subscribers can watch all of the NL playoff games and the entire World Series with their subscription, but only with an additional authenticated login through a handful of providers. DirecTV and Time Warner *are* included in that list of providers, while Comcast and Dish are not. Select AL playoff games are available through MLB.tv as well, though the list of participating providers is much small – DirecTV is included, but Time Warner is not.

WatchESPN, WatchTBS, and Fox Sports Go all require authenticated logins. Pretty much every cable company imaginable is compatible with WatchESPN, but not all are with WatchTBS – sorry, Time Warner customers. Fox Sports Go falls somewhere in the middle – Dish is the most popular company that doesn’t play nice in the sandbox with Fox.

SlingTV is also an option for $20 a month, but only the ESPN and TBS games will be available.

AL Wild Card Game, Astros vs Yankees. This one is easy – it’s ESPN’s lone playoff game this year, and can be streamed across all devices through WatchESPN.

NL Wild Card Game, Cubs vs Pirates. Airing on TBS. Available through MLB.tv and WatchTBS.

AL Division Series, Wild Card vs Royals and Rangers vs Blue Jays. Airing on Fox, streaming on Fox Sports Go with an authenticated login. One game from each series will air on MLB Network. Select games available through MLB.tv.

NL Division Series, Wild Card vs Cardinals and Mets vs Dodgers. Airing on TBS. Available through MLB.tv and WatchTBS.

AL Championship Series. Airing on Fox and Fox Sports 1, streaming on Fox Sports Go with an authenticated login. Select games available through MLB.tv.

NL Championship Series. Airing on TBS. Available through MLB.tv and WatchTBS.

World Series. Airing on Fox, streaming on Fox Sports Go with an authenticated login. Available through MLB.tv.

Long story short, if you have a cable subscription, you should be good to go for every game depending on who your provider is. If you’re a cord cutter, your only real option is Postseason.tv, which doesn’t require a login but does cost $4.99 and only covers the games airing on TBS *and* only gives you alternate angles.
