It’s well known in and around NBA circles that Boston Celtics analyst Tommy Heinsohn bleeds green. He certainly doesn’t hold back his love for the Celtics while displaying total disdain for the opposition. The 81 year old Heinsohn has been the Celtics analyst dating back to 1981. And his commentary on Comcast SportsNet New England has a loyal legion of fans throughout Celtics territory.

On Tuesday, the C’s were playing the Cleveland Cavaliers and Heinsohn didn’t hold back when talking about the referees not calling fouls on LeBron James going so far to call him a “crybaby.” It was Tommy Heinsohn being classic homer Tommy Heinsohn. With NBA TV simulcasting the CSNNE telecast, fans across the country got a big dose of Heinsohn’s homer calls:

“Well, LeBron started cryin’ about four possessions ago and he’s done it twice without a handkerchief!”

“LeBron is givin’ it the ol’ ‘I’m the king! You’re making a jester out of me!'”

“Well it’s the great LeBron. We’re not fouling him out. Well he’ll get like 12 fouls in a game.”

“AFTER WHAT LeBRON HAS BEEN DOING TO EVERYBODY, THEY CALL THAT????”

“He’s a crybaby, isn’t he? (laughter) Wow!”

Well, stop reading and just watch for yourself:

I think I heard play-by-play partner Mike Gorman chuckling in the background during one of these calls. If I were sitting next to Heinsohn, all I could do is laugh.
