You may only know the American version from its brief tenure on Fox Sports 1, but The Crowd Goes Wild is originally a show based in New Zealand that features the same mix of sports and humor. Recently CGW New Zealand interviewed Joe Wheeler, a forward for the Otago Highlanders of Super Rugby.
During the interview, which featured a live remote from Wheeler’s house, a man in his underwear came to snuggle with Wheeler. That man was Wheeler’s teammate Fumi Tanaka. I’m not sure the hosts were expecting to see what transpired. Wheeler’s deadpan reaction makes it all the better.
The Highlanders are off to a good start in the 2015 Super Rugby campaign with a 5-2 record. It’s easy to see why when their team chemistry runs that deep.
