We at Awful Announcing always appreciate how local newscasters, meteorologists and sports anchors deal with technical difficulties and highlight restrictions. Whether it’s a dastardly computer glitch that forces a weather forecast to go without graphics or a server that eats all video, that’s when newscasts get creative.

That was the case for sportscaster Robby Donoho of Northern Mississippi CBS affiliate WCBI. Due to a video server crash, Donoho had no graphics, no highlights and had to circle the wagons to fill an over 6 minute sportscast. Using pen and paper along with some very neat handwriting to make his own scoreboards and schedules, Donoho did it rather well as you can see for yourself.

And Robby even did the copyright notice at the end. Well done!
