Keith Olbermann

We’re in the final days of the second round of the Keith Olbermann Era on ESPN. Olbermann’s eventual landing spot is still a question, but his self-titled show has won acclaim over the two years it was on the air.

The most popular part of Olbermann was his opening monologue, which could be insightful, absurd, or downright moving. We’ve compiled Olbermann’s ten best ESPN monologues from the past two years, and if you didn’t watch the show because of your preexisting opinions about Olbermann, hopefully the content of some of these will make you realize what a loss this is for ESPN.

There have been plenty more monologues and memorable segments, but these were some of the most impactful. I don’t think there’s another show on ESPN that can provide that sort of honesty and bluntness, and it’s a shame to see the network going in a different direction.
