Just like he promised last Sunday as he celebrated the resignation of FIFA President Sepp Blatter, John Oliver bought time on Trinidad television station CCN TV6. Aired on Tuesday night and interrupting that international television juggernaut known as “Mike & Molly,” Oliver spent four and a half minutes pleading to disgraced former FIFA Vice President a Jack Warner to come clean on what he knows about the organization’s corruption.

Called “John Oliver: The Mittens of Disapproval Are On,” Oliver was on his familiar “Last Week Tonight” set and started by reading some phrases in Trini slang, then showed creepy costumed pictures of fellow disgraced FIFA official Chuck Blazer while appealing to Warner to tell what he knows. It was what we have come to know as a classic Oliver segment.

If Warner doesn’t come clean, let us hope that Oliver continues to buy time on CCN TV6 to make what will be the most entertaining infomercials.
