Earlier this year, Dwayne Johnson was the lead on an NFL-based HBO comedy series “Ballers.” Now he wants to produce an NFL series that will be based in reality. Variety reports that The Rock is partnering with a production company to find out how college players and their agents prepare for the NFL Draft.

While we’ve seen series on players after they’re drafted, this series will focus on the process before the draft:

The series will follow some of the unique stories of the players and agents experiencing the physically and emotionally grueling four-month battle through All-Star games, the NFL Combine, Pro Day workouts and non-stop training in an all-out-effort to their achieve dreams of being drafted by an NFL team.

Johnson who played college football at the University of Miami, said he know what it’s like for players to follow their dreams in hopes of reaching the National Football League:

“As a former high school All-American football player and collegiate National Champion at University of Miami, I know how determined and relentlessly hard these athletes work and we’re inspired to share their stories. This series will show the commitment and heart required to achieve your dreams.”

There’s no word on a whether a network has picked up the show as the series is still in the developmental stages and no players have been signed as of yet, however, this seems as if it might be tailor-made for ESPN or NFL Network which both have extensive NFL Draft coverage.
