Awful Announcing favorite Craig Sager received some good news in his battle against leukemia. He was medically cleared to return home from the hospital:

Yes, Craig Sager, Jr. said “for good” and that is certainly great to see. In addition, Sager, Sr. gets return home early which is even better.

He was diagnosed with leukemia last year and thought he was in remission when it returned this past spring. Overall, he’s remained in good spirits openly talking about his treatment and targeting NBA Opening Night for his return to TNT.

With Sager now cleared to return home, we will be seeing him back on the sidelines where he belongs and hopefully we’ll get to see more exchanges with his favorite sparring partner, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich:

While we loved those and of course, we loved this moment with Popovich and Sager, Jr.

We certainly hope that Craig, Sr’s return will be permanent and we’ll get plenty of Sager-Popovich moments this season. We’ve grown to cherish them over the years.
