The NCAA Tournament has provided everything fans could have asked for out of March Madness during its first weekend.  As the tournament reaches its second weekend, the focus shifts from our brackets to what really matters – a national championship.  68 teams have been narrowed down to 16 teams at 4 regional sites.  As far as television goes, 8 broadcast teams become 4 and 4 networks become 2.  CBS & TBS will have the Sweet 16 games and the networks have revealed the announcing assignments for those games.  Here they are by region…

East: Verne Lundquist, Bill Raftery, Allie LaForce
South: Kevin Harlan, Len Elmore, Reggie Miller, Rachel Nichols
Midwest: Jim Nantz, Greg Anthony, Tracy Wolfson
West: Marv Albert, Steve Kerr, Craig Sager

There will be 2 studios in New York and Atlanta.  Interestingly enough, CBS/Turner are choosing to keep Doug Gottlieb and the TNT guys apart after this happened last year.  Probably a smart decision…

New York Studio: Greg Gumbel, Clark Kellogg, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley

Atlanta Studio: Ernie Johnson, Steve Smith, Seth Davis, Grant Hill, Doug Gottlieb
