30 For 30

The fifth anniversary of ESPN Films’ 30 for 30 series will be celebrated with the release of a “30 for 30 Fifth Anniversary Collection” on November 25th, 2014. If you’re a fan of 30 for 30 (which you obviously should be) and you’ve been holding off on buying the individual sets, now is your chance to secure all of ESPN’s special productions in one complete package.

The 100-title set (you read that correctly) contains all of the 30 for 30 films, but also includes all the films in the 30 for 30 Soccer Stories and Nine for IX series as well as selections from the 30 for 30 Shorts series.

Two different versions of the “30 for 30 Fifth Anniversary Collection” will be available for fans to buy. The first is a special set from Groupon which is 32 DVDs (!), t-shirt, hat, limited edition book and poster all packaged in a metal sports locker container. The other version you can purchase is a 20-disc Blu-Ray set packaged in a ticket box. The larger set from Groupon is expected to run $249.95 while the Blu-Ray set is expected to cost $199.95.

30 for 30 is on the short list of the best things ESPN has ever done and it’s great to see them make the complete volume of films available in one enormous box set.
