Welcome to AA’s NFL local ratings rankings. Every week, we’ll take a look at which teams has the highest TV ratings in their local markets, presented 1-32 and with commentary to help provide context, enjoy.

1. New Orleans (Fox) – 44.9

The Saints are still the kings of NFL TV ratings. Slightly down from last week’s game, but still on top this week for the third week running, and overall.

2. Green Bay (Milwaukee market) (Fox) – 42.2

Green Bay’s ratings, oddly, went up from the late game against the Jets in Week 2. That said, the rivalry with the Lions is probably more important than the Favre Bowl against the Jets.

3. Seattle (CBS) – 41.1
4. Denver (CBS) – 41.0

Unsurprisingly, both of the Super Bowl markets were eager to see each other again in the late afternoon national window that led to big ratings around the country.

5. Pittsburgh (NBC) – 38.9

The Steelers actually hit a season high for their Sunday night game against Carolina, despite playing the Ravens under the NFL’s darkest storm cloud on Thursday night in Week 2.

6. Buffalo (CBS) – 37.8

Pegulaville is alive, despite the Bills loss in Week 2, as the Bills rose to their highest ratings in quite a while against the Chargers.

7. Kansas City (CBS) – 35.4
t8. New England (Boston market) (CBS) – 33.0
t8. Indianapolis (CBS) – 33.0
10. Minnesota (Minneapolis-St. Paul market) (Fox) – 31.7

Minnesota ratings have remained largely stable despite the Adrian Peterson scandal, and their matchup with the Saints drew the team’s highest local ratings of the season.

11. Philadelphia (Fox) – 31.3

Another team that hit a season high, as Chip Kelly fever reaches its peak in the City of Brotherly Love.

t12. Carolina (Charlotte market) (NBC) – 31.1
t12. Chicago (ESPN) – 31.1

A Sunday night battle with Pittsburgh equaled a season high for the Panthers as well.

14. Cincinnati (CBS) – 30.4
15. Cleveland (CBS) – 29.7
16. San Diego (CBS) – 29.1
17. Baltimore (CBS) – 28.2

Ravens ratings dropped almost a quarter from last week’s insane 42 rating for the Thursday night game against Pittsburgh. The question now is: with the Ray Rice situation still in limbo, where will Ravens ratings plateau?

18. Arizona (Phoenix market) (Fox) – 25.2

After a bit of a lull last week, Phoenix’s ratings came back in Week 3 for a divisional bout with the 49ers.

19. Detroit (Fox) – 24.6
20. Dallas (Fox) – 23.8

The Cowboys hit a season low for the second straight week. I mean, we’re only in Week 3, but the drops are not encouraging (much like the Dallas receiving corps #footballburn).

21. Houston (CBS) – 23.7
22. Washington (Fox) – 23.2
23. Tennessee (Nashville market) (CBS) – 22.2
24. Atlanta (CBS/NFL Net) – 19.9
25. San Francisco (SF-OAK-SJ market) (Fox) – 19.6

49ers ratings fell off a cliff this week after the opening of Levi’s Stadium drew the club’s highest local rating in 11 years.

26. Miami (CBS) – 17.8
27. St. Louis (Fox) – 17.7
28. Jacksonville (CBS) – 16.6
29. NY Giants (CBS) – 13.3

Giants fans aren’t quite ready to trust yet, as this game drew a season low rating.

30. Oakland (SF-OAK-SJ market) (CBS) – 13.1

Raiders ratings are still pretty low, but their game against the Pats drew a season high.

31. Tampa Bay (CBS/NFL Net) – 12.7

This is kind of self-explanatory, given how their game went.

32. NY Jets (ESPN) – 11.0

Despite a competitive Monday night game, comparatively little interest in the Jets.
