Fantasy announcing mashups are usually always a delight because they go some way in answering the question, “What would it sound like if Announcer X called Sport Y?” In the past, most of these videos have centered on the two most popular meme-worthy announcers in sports – Gus Johnson and Jim Ross. Now Doc Emrick is getting some love from the interwebs.
Reddit user Rib-I submitted this video in which the living legend of hockey broadcasting calls various soccer highlights, and I have to say, it sounds like a great match.

Fox is hiring for the 2015 and 2018 World Cups. I would say this has no chance of ever happening in real life, but if Gus Johnson can be transformed into a lead soccer announcer then anything is possible.
