Sideline reporters live in fear of interviewing San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich during games.  Before the 4th Quarter, ESPN sent analyst and former coach Jeff Van Gundy to walk the plank out on the court as the sacrificial lamb for the evening.

Alas, as JVG was expressing his anxiety about the big moment, Pop did the unthinkable and gave him a hug.  Yes, the Spurs were in the midst of blowing out the Mavs, but usually Popovich is in a worse mood when he's winning than when he's losing for these interviews.

Perhaps he was just showing some love to a fellow member of the coaching fraternity or he was exposing us all to his kinder, gentler self.  Maybe next he'll even pose with adorable kittens like Tony La Russa.
