I hope our esteemed editor forgives me for not digging through the thousands of past articles we’ve posted on this very subject to deluge you with additional examples. We all know people tweet things they immediately regret, but it is easier to do if you are not in the spotlight and don’t have PR folks following your every move. It’s just amazing that after so many athletes have gotten in trouble for tweeting dumb things that they still continue to do it.

And speaking of – Trickett’s tweet has been deleted, but he did apologize…
