You can make the case that this isn’t that far off from being on equal footing as Auburn’s improbable last second win against Alabama.

Under 10 seconds left, short-handed, and in their own zone, Minnesota’s hopes of advancing to the NCAA Championship game in regulation were probably one in a million although I’m waiting for a confirmation from Nate Silver on that. To compound the ridiculousness, this epic goal was scored by a Gopher player who hadn’t put one in the back of the net all year.  Another instance where you couldn’t have scripted an ending any better.
