Not that they ever leave during the regular season, but I’ll take any chance I can get to celebrate Tim Thompson’s excellent work. His montages often dig up some of the coolest old hockey footage to mix with modern highlights. Even when I don’t like the songs he picks to set them to, he manages to make me a fan.
Tim made his playoff debut tonight on CBC, and it was set to the Metallica classic, “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” Because it’s important to remember that it is not for whom the Belfour tolls, the Belfour tolls for thee. Enjoy the montage, and enjoy the playoffs, everyone.
