If you're not a huge football fan, Animal Planet's yearly Puppy Bowl is a welcome respite to the Super Bowl. And this year, for the Puppy Bowl's tenth anniversary, Animal Planet is going all-out with a star-studded lineup laden with surprises.

YouTube superstars Keyboard Cat (not the original, obviously) and Lil' Bub will both make appearances, with Keyboard Cat playing Super Bowl halftime show performer Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" while "30 kittens will perform a domino topple and one little daredevil will make a grand entrance by parachuting onto the field." As for Lil' Bub, she'll be making appearances from her studio in Chicago during the event.

The cheerleaders for the Puppy Bowl will be penguins. Animal Planet will be conducting a fantasy draft involving the puppies, tracking the statistics they rack up during the proceedings. Fans can also vote for the Puppy Bowl MVP online.

In addition to all of this insanity, fans can interact with the Puppy Bowl on Instagram, with some photos of Puppy Bowl parties being shown on TV during the festivities.

I don't even know what to say anymore. The Puppy Bowl starts at 3 PM on February 2nd, and is looking to improve on its mind-numbing average of 12.4 million viewers from 2013. You can't fault Animal Planet for tweaking a formula that's clearly working, but I'm just starting to wonder when the Puppy Bowl will fall completely into the realm of absurdity.

But there's one thing the Puppy Bowl won't have. John Sterling. He's doing play by play of the Kitten Bowl.
