Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens may not be playing the game these days, but he’s doing his best to stay in the spotlight. Last week, he was seen in the premiere episode of this season’s Hard Knocks with the Atlanta Falcons attending Stephen Jackson’s art show in Los Angeles.

And we get word that T.O. will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” playing a New York City firefighter.

According to The Wrap, Owens will appear early in the series’ 2nd season:

“Fox confirmed that T.O. will appear in Season 2’s third episode, where he’ll square off against (Terry) Crews in a pick-up football game, as the NYPD and FDNY battle for supremacy.”

As proof, Owens tweeted a photo of himself and Crews shooting the Brooklyn Nine-Nine show.

At least Owens is playing a role that isn’t too far from his previous profession so it’s not too far a stretch. And Crews himself also played in the National Football League.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars former Saturday Night Live cast member Andy Samberg and Crews about a fictional New York Police Department precinct and will air Sunday nights this fall on Fox.
